The 19th semi-annual Truckee Follies is a tasteless theatrical revue that takes a look at local issues occurring around town. The Truckee Follies was started in 1981 as the brainchild of the Truckee Downtown Merchants who have very little to do in the off-season. The idea was to do a variety show that would pull together the entire community’s talent and non-talent to poke fun irreverently at ourselves.

The Follies are the primary fundraiser for the Truckee Downtown Merchant's Association. $2,000 in proceeds from the 2012 Follies will go to local high school scholarships. The remainder will be used to continue to beautify, enhance and promote Downtown Truckee. Please consider the benefits of being a sponsor of the Follies. Download sponsor form.

The official event program is an unique and hilarious aspect of the Follies. For a small contribution, volunteer writers will design an advertisement for your business to be included in the program. Take out an ad with the follies and be part of Truckee history for years to come. Download ad form.

If you are interested in getting involved with the show please volunteer to be a writer, actor, singer, dancer, set builder, production crew, make-up artist, costumers or prop-maker. Please contact Mitch Clarin at (530) 308-9124 or mitch@mitchclarin.com.
