The 18th semi-annual Truckee Follies is a tasteless theatrical revue that takes a look at local issues occurring around town. The Truckee Follies was started in 1981 as the brainchild of the Truckee Downtown Merchants who have very little to do in the off-season. The idea was to do a variety show that would pull together the entire community’s talent and non-talent to poke fun irreverently at ourselves.

The Follies are the primary fundraiser for the Truckee Downtown Merchant's Association. $2,000 in proceeds from the 2010 Follies will go to local high school scholarships. The remainder will be used to continue to beautify, enhance and promote Downtown Truckee.

The official event program is an unique and hilarious aspect of the Follies. For a small contribution, volunteer writers will design an advertisement for your business to be included in the program. Take out an ad with the follies and be part of Truckee history for years to come. Download ad form.

If you are interested in getting involved in the show as a bartender, waitress, ticket sales, ad sales and ad creation, hostess, kitchen help, decorating, etc., please email Stefanie Olivieri, the Producer at oliveoil@ltol.com.
